motoLauncher is a home screen for Android-based motorcycle navigation devices. It is designed for glove use and handlebar remote operation.

Features

• Fixed home grid of favourite apps, configured by tapping an empty "+" tile
• Any slot can hold a link instead of an app — a name and a URL, opened with the system handler
• All Apps screen with a search filter, and a per-app Hide so the list stays short
• Tap to launch from the home screen or the app list; long press a tile for App info, Uninstall, or Remove
• Settings live in the All Apps screen: theme, navigation app, update check, orientation, navigation bar, and what the status bar shows
• Orientation can be fixed to any of the four, or set to Sensor (the default) to auto-rotate; the setting is a picker, so changing it never rotates you through the rest
• Park lock for short unattended stops: a glove-sized PIN keypad that pins the screen so Recents and the notification shade are blocked, with no system lock screen involved. While parked, the PIN is the only way back in
• Home status bar with time, Wi-Fi, cellular, battery, and an optional GPS speed readout in km/h or mph
• Manual update check with an install prompt — nothing is downloaded unless you ask
• Operable with the remote keys dpad-left/right/up/down, Enter and Escape; holding Escape launches the configured navigation app from anywhere in the app, on remotes that do not auto-repeat a held key as well as on keyboards
